Delete your account and data

Effective 13 August 2026 · Last updated 13 August 2026

The short version. Open the game, go to Settings → Data → Delete my data, confirm. It is immediate and it needs no account, no email and no waiting. If you signed in and want the account itself removed, email us from the address the account uses and we do the rest.

1. In the game — two taps, immediate

  1. Open Troopnaut.
  2. Tap Settings (the gear on the home screen).
  3. Open the Data tab.
  4. Tap Delete my data, then confirm.

The game restarts on a blank profile. This erases everything stored on the device: progress, coins, diamonds, cosmetics owned, statistics, achievements, settings and language. Uninstalling the app has the same effect on local data.

This is not the “reset progress” button you may have seen when starting a new run. That one only sends you back to the first bridge and keeps your statistics and settings. The Data tab is the one that erases.

2. The account and cloud save — by email

Signing in is optional and exists so that what you paid for survives a reinstall or a new phone (see the privacy policy). To have that account and everything attached to it deleted:

  1. Write to troopnaut@bashroom.com from the email address the account uses, with “Delete my account” as the subject.
  2. We reply to that same address to confirm it is really you asking.
  3. Once you confirm, we delete the account, the cloud save and the list of items attached to it. We tell you when it is done.

We answer within 30 days at the very latest, and in practice within a few days.

Why there is no form on this page.

A box asking for an email address and a “Delete” button would let anyone delete anyone else's account — an email address is not a proof of identity, it is public information. So we only accept two proofs: the session inside the game (the app knows who is signed in) and control of the mailbox attached to the account (we write to it and wait for your answer). A deletion request that arrives from anywhere else gets an answer, never a deletion.

The same rule binds us: we never delete an account because a third party asked us to, and we will never ask you for a password — nobody at Troopnaut can read one.

3. What gets deleted, and what cannot

Deleted Kept, and why
Progress, coins, diamonds, cosmetics owned Purchase records. French accounting law requires the record of a sale to be kept (currently ten years). It is a line in an accounting ledger, not a game profile.
Statistics, achievements, records Your receipts at Apple and Google. They are the sellers; their copies are theirs, and their own deletion procedures apply.
Settings, chosen language, chosen soundtrack Support emails, for up to three years — including the one asking for the deletion, which is the proof we honoured it.
The account identifier and the cloud save, if you had one Anonymous, non-identifying host logs kept briefly by our hosting provider.

Deletion is final. There is no recovery, no grace period and no restore: what you delete is gone, including anything you paid for. If you only want to start a new run, use the reset in the game instead.

4. Your other rights

Deletion is one of several rights you have under the GDPR — access, correction, export and objection are the others. They are all listed, with how to exercise them, in the privacy policy. The controller is Bashroom, 12 rue Louis Renault, 31130 Balma, France.
