Troopnaut

Terms of service

Effective 13 August 2026 · Last updated 13 August 2026

The short version. Troopnaut is ours; you get to play it. Anything you buy is a licence to use cosmetic content inside the game, not property you own. Apple and Google sell the game and handle refunds. Tips are gifts and give you nothing. None of this takes away the consumer rights your own law gives you.

1. Who you are dealing with

Troopnaut is published by Bashroom, a French société par actions simplifiée with a share capital of €1,000, registered under SIREN 843 951 591, registered office 12 rue Louis Renault, 31130 Balma, France; VAT FR70 843 951 591. “We”, “us” and “our” mean Bashroom. “The game” means Troopnaut on any platform, and this website.

2. Accepting these terms

Installing or playing the game means you accept these terms. If you do not, do not play — that is the whole enforcement mechanism, and it is enough.

You need to be old enough to enter into a contract where you live. If you are not, a parent or guardian has to accept these terms for you, and they are responsible for what is bought on their device.

3. The licence you get

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and play the game on devices you control, for your own non-commercial enjoyment. That is all that is granted; everything not granted here stays with us.

Streaming or recording your own play, including monetised video, is fine and always has been. You do not need our permission, and we will not claim your video.

4. Virtual items and currency

The game contains in-game currency and cosmetic items — squad skins, enemy army skins, finishers and decor themes.

We may add, retire, re-price or rebalance items over time. We will not take away a cosmetic you have already unlocked in order to sell it back to you.

5. Buying, and getting your money back

Apple and Google are the sellers of record. When you buy inside the game, the contract of sale is with the App Store or Google Play, which collect the money and handle the tax. Their terms apply to that sale alongside these.

Refunds therefore go through them, using their own procedures and windows. We cannot reverse a store transaction, and neither can our support email — but if something in the game genuinely did not work, write to us and we will help you make the case.

If a purchase is refunded or charged back, we may remove what it granted. A tip grants nothing, so there is nothing to remove.

Nothing in this section affects the mandatory rights consumers have under their own law, including the French statutory guarantee of conformity for digital content.

6. Tips and donations

You may support the game voluntarily — through the tip options in the game, or with the channels listed on our support page. Three things are true of every tip:

The addresses on our support page are the only ones we publish. We will never contact you to ask for a payment, and we will never send you an address by message. If you saw one anywhere else, it is not ours.

7. What you may not do

If you break these rules we may suspend or terminate your access and your account, in proportion to what happened. If we are wrong, tell us and we will look again.

8. Our rights, and other people's

The game — its code, art, levels, characters, music, text and interface — belongs to Bashroom and is protected by copyright. “Troopnaut”, the Troopnaut name and the Troopnaut logo are our trademarks. Nothing here transfers any of it to you.

The game uses open-source components, listed with their licences on the credits screen inside the game. Their authors keep their rights, and their licences are honoured there.

Troopnaut is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any other game, studio, publisher or advertiser. Any resemblance of genre is a resemblance of genre: game mechanics are not owned by anyone, and our expression of them is our own.

If you send us an idea, a bug report or a suggestion, we may act on it without owing you anything — we cannot run a studio where every message creates an obligation. We will not pretend it was ours if you would rather be credited; ask.

9. Updates, availability, shutdown

We update the game, change its content, and fix what is broken. We may also stop distributing it, or shut down the online parts. If we shut down the account and cloud-save side of the service, we will announce it in advance in the game and on this site, and the game will keep working offline for as long as it technically can.

The game is offered as it is, when it is available. Stores go down, phones change, operating systems drop support for things — none of which we control.

10. Warranty, liability, and the law that applies

To the extent permitted by law, the game is provided “as is” without warranties beyond those the law imposes. We do not promise it is free of bugs, or that it will run on every device — including devices without working 3D graphics, where the game says so and stops rather than pretending.

To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to foreseeable damage caused by our own failure, and in any case to the amount you paid for the game and its content in the twelve months before the event. We do not exclude liability for death, personal injury, fraud, gross negligence, or anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.

These terms are governed by French law. If you are a consumer resident in the EU, you also keep the protection of the mandatory rules of your own country, and you may bring a claim before the courts of your place of residence. If you are not a consumer, the courts of Toulouse, France, have exclusive jurisdiction.

Before any of that: email us. Most of what looks like a dispute is a bug and an explanation.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when the game changes or the law does. The date at the top always says when. If a change materially reduces your rights, we will flag it in the game's release notes rather than hope you did not notice.
